Extending the Lifecycle

Treat your kit with the same discipline you apply to your recovery.

Auterra is engineered from 100% organic cotton. Unlike synthetic fibers which are essentially plastic, cotton is a natural material that reacts to its environment. Proper care ensures the fabric maintains its structure, weight (450 GSM), and biological integrity for years to come.

The Maintenance Protocol

Follow these three steps to maintain material integrity.

The Wash

Cold Wash / Gentle Cycle

We use a dense, heavyweight weave. Washing in cool water preserves the fiber tension and prevents the shrinkage that can occur with high heat. It keeps the "weighted" feel intact.

The Chemistry

Natural Detergents Only

Your garment is a chemical shield. Using non-toxic, fragrance-free detergents ensures you aren't re-introducing the very endocrine disruptors we designed this fabric to block. Keep the barrier pure.

The Dry

Hang Dry or Tumble with No Heat

High heat breaks down natural fibers over time. Air drying is the gold standard for longevity. If you must use a dryer, keep the heat low to protect the fabric's structure.

Fabric Behavior

What to expect from natural fibers.

"Live" Material Because we do not use formaldehyde or anti-wrinkle chemical coatings, your Auterra set will develop a unique character over time. It creates a custom fit that aligns with your body mechanics.

Restoring Structure If the fabric feels relaxed after a long recovery session, a quick wash and air dry will reset the weave, restoring the structured silhouette you rely on.
